The Center for Neurological and Neurodevelopmental Health (CNNH) Joins Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital to provide Dance and Movement Therapy for Children with Special Needs
Parent-child and child only classes available.
Over the course of 8 weeks, classes explore the concept that our bodies can tell stories about our experiences, dreams and fantasies through self- expressive dance, movement & rhythm. This creative dance program focuses specifc attention to the individual and unique concerns of children with special needs.
Children explore and learn so much about the world through movement
- Introduces children to dance and movement based on their own developmentally focused abilities
- Explores these movements through games, dance and music
- Parent-child groups will teach parents to use the children's movement to support play and communication
- Enables them to express their feelings
- Help children find their own dance within
- Encourages communication
- Teach skills for social interaction
- Develop peer relationships
