At Weisman Children’s, we only focus on rehabilitation for children, teens and young adults up to age 21. Our specialty trained pediatric therapy staff create a plan with your goals in mind and work with your child in one-on-one sessions. We have five locations spread across South Jersey so our therapy services can be closer and more convenient for you.
What We Do Best
Our treatment focuses on developing functional skills and family education. Goals and treatment plans center on the unique needs of each child within the context of their daily lives. Family education focuses on helping caregivers understand and implement ways to carry over the skills learned in therapy into everyday activities.
Our therapists are experienced and skilled at treating a variety of diagnoses. Some of the more common diagnoses include, but are not limited to:
Auditory processing disorder
Cerebral palsy/neuro deficits
Expressive language disorder
Oral motor function deficits
Post traumatic brain injury
Sensory integration disorder
Telehealth is a great way to receive therapy services in the comfort of your own home. Although it is different from traditional in-person visits, our telehealth services can be just as effective in reaching your therapy goals, which has been the case for many of the children we have helped over this past year. At Weisman Children’s, we are committed to unlocking the potential of your child, no matter the situation.
Occupational Therapy (OT) helps children reach their potential in everyday activities. The goal is to promote functional performance through the integration of physical skills, social-emotional development, sensory processing and cognitive abilities.
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) focuses on maximizing each patient’s communicative potential. They assist children to be able to communicate with their family and friends to get their wants and needs known and to be able to socially function within the community.
Our occupational therapists focus on the vestibular/balance and visual disturbances that can occur with concussion. They assess how these issues are interfering with completing everyday tasks and develop strategies to overcome them.
The SpOt social skills group at Weisman Children’s is designed to increase your child’s communication, social skills, and peer interaction. These skills will be addressed through fun and interactive activities within a structured format.
