Feeding/Swallowing Therapy

So your child/teen needs feeding therapy, what does that mean?

Feeding therapy is performed by our speech therapists (Speech Language Pathologists) with advanced training in eating and swallowing difficulties.

Our team will address many feeding difficulties including those due to behavior or sensory issues, food aversion, mouth movement and preparing to swallow (oral motor) deficits. We also work with children with tracheostomies and children transitioning from gastrostomy (G-Tube) or nasogastric (NG-Tube) tubes.

We help feeding and swallowing difficulties including:

  • Oral motor delay/deficits
  • Swallowing dysfunction
  • Behavioral issues
  • Sensory issues/impairments
