Autism Management

So your child has been diagnosed with Autism, how can we help?

At Weisman Children’s we know the treatment of Autism requires a wide spectrum of care and the needs of each child vary.

These issues may include:

  • Avoidance of eye contact
  • Delayed language development or persistent babbling
  • Resistance to minor changes in routine or surroundings
  • Repetitive behaviors (flapping, rocking, spinning, etc.)
  • Unusual and intense reactions to sounds, smells, tastes, textures, lights and/or colors

Our therapists use a sensory based approach during therapy sessions to improve play, social, gross motor (i.e.: running, jumping, etc.), fine motor (i.e.: writing, dressing, etc.) and language skills. We provide parent/caregiver training to ensure carryover into your daily life.
